Barry Herem is a Seattle artist who has worked in the Pacific Northwest Coast Indian style for over 50 years. Barry’s work is symbolic, animistic, and organic, and has been shown in nearly every major American city and many foreign ones. May I offer this vintage sterling silver (hallmarked) cuff bracelet known as the “Emerging Mankind” bracelet. The story behind the graphics is this….. After the great flood, Raven was gorging himself on edibles on the beach. Hearing some strange sounds, he found a giant clamshell with little beings wiggling inside. He crooned and coaxed them out, and they were the first humans. In short, the bracelet recalls mankind emerging from the giant clamshell. The bracelet is for a small wrist measuring 6-1/4″ on the outside and 5-3/4″ on the inside. Width, at the top center, is about 7/8. Weight is 41.8 grams. The bracelet is solidly cast and does not have much “give” to it. Again, wait to pay! I describe my items accurately, have multiple pictures on each of my listings so a “surprise” upon receipt is unlikely. However, if something is amiss, I will remedy the situation as quickly as possible. (New as of 11/24/19). I package my items very well for transit so please please do not worry – your package will arrive intact. My home is smoke and pet free! This will be mentioned in the appropriate area.
