This large vintage tribal jewelry choker necklace was handcrafted in the mid-1900’s for the nomadic Afghan Kuchi tribe of Central Asia. This is an old tribal necklace, not a new reproduction. Characteristic of old Kuchi jewelry, it has large red and blue crescents spanning the wide neckband. More colorful beads encrust all 5 links and the triangular-shaped terminals. Vibrant dangles with old coins on their ends hang below, clattering together noisily with movement. A new tie on each side allows for adjusting the length to fit as desired. This choker was extremely well made and in excellent condition. There are mild wear patterns and a arm age patina remaining.
